The Beer Garden at Garden Terrace is Back
The Beer Garden at Garden Terrace is officially open for the season. Since its first season nestled near the Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse in 2017 it has grown and expanded, both in its physical space and menu offerings.
You’ll find the the Beer Garden just outside Garden Terrace in a pool house-inspired structure designed with entertainment in mind. Take a seat under a teal umbrella on the patio that evokes the memory of the Lilly family’s 100,000-gallon outdoor pool that formerly sat on the same footprint.
Now in the second full season in the expanded space, Executive Chef Patrick Russ and Assistant Director of Culinary Arts and Certified Cicerone Lindsay Jo Whirley are serving up a full lunch menu with something for everyone, including beverages from near and far.
Quench your thirst with the brand-new custom Blueberry Lemon Kettle Sour Ale designed by Whirley and team and brewed by Sun King Brewing’s small-batch brewery. The light and fresh Früh Kölsch is back on the menu and pairs perfectly with an afternoon in The Garden. For wine-lovers, Libby’s drinkable Rose Bubbles is sure to be a new fan favorite and Daniel’s Vineyard wine slushies are back. And for those looking for non-alcoholic options the best-selling lemonade and berries is a sweet treat for guests of all ages.
For food, you will always be able to find a seasonal sandwich and a rotating special that is hearty enough for lunch. Think turkey pesto sammies, brats, or walking tacos. Russ leans into The Garden whenever possible, using fresh herbs and seasonal plantings in the rotating items. You’ll also always be able to find giant Bavarian pretzels, root beer floats (made with craft root beer from Triton Tap), and Nicey Treat popsicles. Not to mention new homemade chocolate chip cookies.
