DiscoverNewfields.org, a website run by Newfields, may collect both non-personal and personal information when you visit or use the website. Newfields is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit or use the website. Newfields takes reasonable steps to protect guests’ privacy and to ensure that you are notified of what information you are providing to us and how that information will be used.

This Privacy Policy applies to the online activities of Newfields. DiscoverNewfields.org may contain links to third party websites that are not under Newfields’ control. These websites have their own policies regarding privacy, and guests should review their policies before providing information to these websites. Newfields has no responsibility for linked websites and provides these links solely for the convenience and information of our guests.

Personal Information
Personal information includes information that identifies you as an individual and is linked to your name, which includes:

•    Your mailing address;
•    Your telephone number;
•    Your credit card or other financial information; and
•    Demographic information (e.g., age, size of household, etc.).

Newfields will only collect personal information that is voluntarily and knowingly provided, such as when you purchase a Newfields membership online or make an online donation to Newfields, where you will be asked to provide the information necessary to process a membership and/or acknowledge your contribution. Credit card information is secure and encrypted using VeriSign. Newfields does not keep your credit card number on file.

Newfields will use your mailing address to send you catalogues, event brochures, and other Museum-related materials. Newfields will use your email address to send you updated information about the Museum via our email newsletter. 

Newfields does not sell or rent the names and addresses of its members to any for-profit company or organization. Newfields does, from time to time, share the names and addresses of its members with other not-for-profit charitable arts and cultural organizations for the purpose of promoting programs, events, exhibitions, or membership. 

 

Children’s Information
Newfields does not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13) years of age. If personal information regarding a child is required for program participation or similar reasons, Newfields will collect this information from the child’s parent or guardian. If a child sends an email to Newfields, we will only use the address provided to respond to the inquiry and will not retain or use the information for any other purpose. 

 

Opting Out of Newfields Communications
Guests may opt out of receiving communications from Newfields at any time. Any email communication sent to you by Newfields will include an unsubscribe link or other instructions that will allow you to opt out of future communications.
