Seventeen-year-old Megan (Natasha Lyonne) is a high school senior who loves cheerleading and is dating football player Jared (Brandt Willie), who she doesn’t like to kiss. Her concerned parents suspect that Megan is in fact a lesbian and send her to True Directions, a therapy camp to “convert” its campers to heterosexuality. Megan befriends another girl, fellow camper and college student named Graham. Will Megan be a success at True Directions, or will she fall in love?
