Newfields Chief People & Culture Officer Search

Newfields is seeking a Chief People and Culture Officer (CPCO) who will work to serve a highly dedicated and talented team while modeling Newfields’ values: Stewardship, Inclusivity, Service and Excellence. This transformational leader will design and lead a strategy that will strengthen the organization’s team, structure and culture.  

Reporting to the President & CEO, the CPCO will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and has responsibility for planning, developing and implementing system-wide initiatives and strategies that support personnel acquisition and management, employee engagement and customer service excellence. The CPCO is expected to be an enterprise-wide thinker who works collaboratively with other senior leaders in supporting change management initiatives. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing HR’s strategic plans and assuring alignment with Newfields’ institution wide strategies.  

This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive change and transform the People & Culture function and overall organizational culture. The CPCO has overall accountability for HR performance system-wide and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local labor standards and policies. The CPCO will set direction and establish best practices system-wide for recruitment, retention and succession strategies; organizational development and training initiatives; compensation; performance management; employee relations; and the management of HR systems and analytics.  

As a culture leader at the organization, they will also be actively engaged in collaboration with the leadership team in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusive excellence initiatives in support of employees. Currently, the CPCO is expected to lead a team of professionals in the following areas: compensation, recruitment, employee and organizational development, health and welfare benefits, organization wide volunteer services coordination, and cultural excellence efforts.
