Young Actors Theatre, Inspired by the life of: Jemima Boone
A group of students are stuck in Saturday school, but one of them has a secret. As the group studies the capture and release of Jemima Boone, Daniel Boone's daughter, they are faced with the question: how can one overcome something traumatic? How can one look fear in the face and keep going? Told through the lens of history and the present day, YAT explores the idea of survival.
Young Actors Theatre creates original plays that are by youth and for youth. This show (runtime 50 minutes) features 4th-8th grade Indianapolis student actors. All performances of Boone include post-show Q&A with the cast and education guide with classroom extension activities. Gallery tours available at no additional cost for Newfields shows! Ask upon registration.
