Winter Tree ID

If a tree sheds all its leaves...can you identify it? Join us for a guided hike in The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park at Newfields to learn tips for winter tree identification. Lisa Milton, Manager of Natural Resources at Newfields, will discuss tips for deciduous tree identification using bark patterns, branch structure, bud size and placement, and plant communities.    

Be sure to dress for the weather. This will be an easy 1.5 to 2 mile hike through the woods and around the lake.
