Life and Legacy: Portraits from the Clowes Collection Tour

Explore the portrait collection of two of the IMA’s greatest benefactors, Dr. George H. A. Clowes and his wife, Edith Whitehill Clowes.  While Dr. Clowes was renowned for his role in the mass production of insulin at Eli Lilly & Company, he and his wife were also avid art collectors. The exhibition offers a fresh look at their interesting life story, their important art collection, and the development of portraiture over the span of several hundred years.
