Exhibition Opening Reception and Lecture with Bidou Yamaguchi and Dr. John Teramoto, Curator of Asian Art
SOLD OUT
Join the Asian Art Society (AAS) for the opening of Making Faces: The Remarkable Masks of Master Bidou Yamaguchi.
Enjoy a cocktail reception and hors d’oeuvres as AAS hosts Master Bidou Yamaguchi, a traditionally trained carver who masterfully crafts contemporary masks in the Noh style. During this reception he will unveil the museum’s commissioned artwork by the artist—a mask created in the image of Rembrandt’s Self-Portrait. Funds raised for this event benefit the Asian Art Society’s art acquisitions fund.
