Family Day:

Home Again Olympics

Family Day: Home Again Olympics
11 AM–3 PM

Calling all sports enthusiasts and art aficionados for a day of friendly competition at Family Day: Home Again Olympics. This day of art and athleticism will offer the thrill of the Olympics as set against the backdrop of Home Again, the new exhibition on The Hawryluk Sculpture Green. Go for gold and create masterpieces of your own, enjoy live performances, and indulge in delicious treats from a variety of food trucks.

Challenge your friends and family to a variety of games including Tug o’ War, kayak racing and a relay race around the The Lake and at the end make your own gold, silver or bronze medal!

Be prepared for the elements! Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray; wear sturdy shoes and sun protective clothes. Small amounts of extra supplies will be available at the Welcome Tent and with an onsite EMT for emergencies. Parking is available at The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park, as well as at Newfields’ main campus. Waller Bridge will be open throughout the day for guests to walk between the park and Newfields. Please note that general admission to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and The Garden is not included in Family Day. Shuttles will be available from The Virginia B.
