Become a Docent:

Join us for an information session to learn everything you need to know about becoming a Docent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields.  

The 2025 Docent class officially starts on January 18, 2025 and we are looking for dedicated art lovers to participate. 

Docents are volunteers who welcome, inform, and engage with Museum visitors. Docents serve as gallery educators and advocates for the institution, in ways that encourage guests to enjoy their time in the IMA Galleries and around Newfields. 

We welcome anyone who has an interest in art, is committed to lifelong learning, enjoys teaching to register for one of these two Info Sessions to learn if being a Docent is for you.
