Artist Encounters

Renowned actor and regional favorite Rob Johansen portrays artist Andy Warhol, the influential and controversial artist known as a leader of the visual art movement known as pop art.  From soup cans to fright wigs – come see how this famous artist earned his ’15 minutes of fame.’  This character monologue provides a unique perspective on the artist’s life and career.  After the performance, stick around for an informal conversation with Johansen and the IMA Docents.

Rob Johansen makes his home in Indy, but has performed on stages across the country for 22 years.  Notable productions include A Christmas Carol, Cyrano, The 39 Steps, The Grapes of Wrath, The Game’s Afoot, Mr. Burns, On Clover Road, and Underneath the Lintel.
