April Family Day: A Tree-mendous Adventure

April Family Day: A Tree-mendous Adventure
11 AM–3 PM

Celebrate Earth Day with a tree-rific time at April Family Day: A Tree-mendous Adventure. It’s a day of nature-inspired fun for families and guests of all ages. Immerse yourself in a world of creativity by making your own tree identification tags paired with plein air painting near some of Newfields' most beloved trees. Let your imagination run wild with spring colors and canvases. Embark on guided nature tours led by Newfields Horticulture staff and volunteer garden guides, who will unlock the magic and history of The Garden. Head to the Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse to check out the incredible spring displays, and to pick up a redbud seedling to take home and plant yourself. Want to slow down a bit? Join Irvington Wellness Center for a restorative Spring Tree QiGong session in the Gene & Rosemary Tanner Orchard. All ages and abilities are welcome for this restorative breath and movement workshop.
