Society Tour: Tanner Orchard with Patty Schneider

Join Newfields Horticulturist Patty Schneider for an exclusive tour of the Tanner Orchard. Designed by Percival Gallagher during the 1920s, and restored with the help of a generous gift by Mr. and Mrs. Gene Tanner, the Tanner Orchard makes use of an attractive gate and arbor, borders of perennial flowers, and a potager garden. On this immersive walk with Patty, you’ll learn little known facts about the Orchard and see it from a fresh perspective. Last year alone, the Orchard produced and donated over 1,300 pounds of food to Second Helpings, an organization that helps Hoosiers facing food insecurity.
