A Sense-sational Homeschool Day at Newfields

Ever wished you could smell the grass in a landscape painting? How about touching a feather woven into an intricate costume or hat? During our sense-sational Homeschool Day at Newfields, you’ll finally get the chance. You and your family will be guided to different locations across the Newfields campus, where you’ll explore artwork with your five senses – touch, sight, sound, smell, and taste. This adventure will help you recall old memories and create new connections.

Homeschool Day at Newfields is a day for homeschooling families to learn about art, nature, and more while exploring all our campus has to offer. Students will have the option to participate in structured activities while moving at their own pace through self-guided experiences. Event registration includes museum admission. Admission for one adult chaperone is free for each family; every additional chaperone can register at a discounted rate.
