Sacred Texts of the Himalaya

James Canary, the Head of Conservation at the Lilly Library at Indiana University Bloomington, is an expert on Tibetan art and manuscripts, having travelled extensively in the Himalayas for nearly 40 years. The Asian Art Society at Newfields presents an evening with Jim to hear about his travels and research as well as his passion for documenting the traditional artisans engaged in manuscript and print production. His talk will be followed by dessert, coffee, and conversation in the DeBoest lobby.
