High School Day with We. The Culture

High school students and their teachers are invited to explore the new exhibition We. The Culture: Works by The Eighteen Art Collective, a year-long installation that showcases works by a group of 18 Indianapolis-based Black artists, who were commissioned to paint the Black Lives Matter street mural on Indiana Avenue in August 2020. The day will be filled with activities that allow students to engage with artwork in the exhibition and express their own creativity. Prompts will be provided to help spark and guide conversations. Students will have the opportunity to create a work of art of their own, which they can take home with them at the end of the day.
