11 am-3 pm

Explore Fairbanks Park with your Newfields Geocaching Passport and complete activities like art making, archery practice, fishing lessons, and more. Bring your filled passport back to the Meadow for a prize. There are 6 locations – see if you can collect all 6 stamps!

Please note: additional parking is available on the upper campus. Shuttle service will be available to the Art and Nature Park. Some activities may be moved inside or cancelled due to weather.

Inflatable Archery | 11 AM – 3 PM | The Meadow

Sailboat Making & Races | 11 AM – 3 PM | Chop Stick

Maple Seed Dragonfly Activity | 11 AM – 3 PM | Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse

Animal Adaptations with Mark Booth | 11 AM, 12, 1 & 2 PM | The Meadow (30 minutes sessions)

Fishing 101 | 11 AM, 12, 1 & 2 PM | Stratum Pier Shore (ages 8+ with an adult, limit 20 participants per session) (30 minute sessions)

Camping & Survival Kit Workshop | 11 AM – 1:30 PM | Ruth Lilly Visitors Pavilion

Storytime | 11:45 AM & 1 PM | Stratum Pier

Explore the Outdoor Art Walk & Talk | 12 &1 PM | Bench Around the Lake  

Plant Identification Interactive Table and Walk | 12 PM – 3 PM | The Clearing
