Homeschools

Make Newfields your homeschool's place for nature and the arts!

With 152 acres to explore there is no limit to what you can learn at Newfields. Expand your classroom and make the Indianapolis Museum of Art and The Garden part of your students' curriculum this year.

There are a variety of opportunities available to homeschool families and co-ops, continue reading to find the right option for you:

Homeschool Days:

Homeschool Days are large events held in the Indianapolis Museum of Art, The Garden, or The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park. These events feature either drop-in, scheduled, or round-robin-style classes centered around a theme, as well as free time to explore all that Newfields has to offer at your own pace.

Homeschool Workshops:

Homeschool Workshops are shorter and more structured than Homeschool Days and feature smaller class sizes. Workshops provide an opportunity for your students to take a deeper dive into a topic and usually connect to a specific exhibition in the Indianapolis Museum of Art, The Garden, or The Virginia B Fairbanks Art and Nature Park.

Field Trips:

Homeschool families and co-ops are also welcome to schedule a field trip that works for their schedule. Please visit the Field Trip page to learn more and to schedule your field trip to Newfields.
