Explore, investigate, and create together. In this class designed for 5 to 10-year-olds and their adult, you’ll go on a guided exploration in the IMA Galleries using your very own art passport to track which countries you explore. Then, you’ll design your own artwork inspired by your findings to take home. This month's theme is the Forefront Gallery.

The Queens of Art Collective brings together the work of four African American women artists whose practices are rooted in lived experience and creative resilience. Through painting, mixed media, photography, and expressive visual language, these artists offer intimate perspectives on strength, beauty, and the complexity of African American womanhood.

Bold: New Voices in Contemporary Art

In Newfields’ newest exhibition, Bold: New Voices in Contemporary Art, guests will discover thirteen works from the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields that highlight our ever expanding and globally relevant contemporary art collection. Featured in the exhibition are several newly acquired works from cutting-edge contemporary African artists including Wole Lagunju, Turiya Magadlela and Kimathi Mafafo.
