As much as we bemoan the end of summer, creeping around the corner there’s a world of wonder in store. As fall draws near, we often gather indoors to enjoy new seasons of favorite shows, and new movies.

This year, our fall festival leans into the cinematic drama of the season. We have something for every film buff to enjoy, from cult classics to holiday faves. And all movie tickets include entrance to Harvest Nights presented by Everwise Credit Union, a spooky (not scary) good time.

True crime fans—rejoice! First up on October 3 we have A Haunted Heist presented by Audiochuck. The evening unfolds in three acts: A custom spooky heist to solve in the IMA Galleries, cleverly concocted by local partner and podcasting pros Audiochuck. Then when you’ve cracked the case, you’ll enjoy the 1985 movie Clue, based on the classic board game. It’s a madcap slapstick comedy with a dose of mystery. Top things off to celebrate the season in The Garden with Harvest Nights presented by Everwise Credit Union. The action-packed evening will keep you on the edge of your seat as you wonder: Whodunit?

Next, on Saturday, October 4, don’t miss The Rocky Horror Picture Show Drag Performance in partnership with Indy Pride. While it’s the longest continually running movie release of all time, tickets themselves won’t last long for this single-night extravaganza. After selling out two years in a row we anticipate the same again this year, for the 50th anniversary (talk about a time warp). Expect outrageous outfits, interactive thrills, and more sass than you can shake a stiletto at.

Then on Saturday, November 2, join us for a magical, one-night-only screening of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. With your ticket, you’ll be among the first to experience a dazzling sneak peek of Winterlights—featuring a few of our most stunning trees turned on early just for you. For the first time ever, wander through The Garden aglow in autumnal magic as shimmering hints of Winterlights’ sparkle begin to show. Bring the whole family for this all-ages Halloween-meets-holiday classic. What a wonderful way to send Harvest Nights off in style on the fest’s last night.

Worth a closing mention, a highlight of each Harvest Nights is the artistically- and historically-inspired projection on Lilly House (Mischief Manor). Newfields teamed up with Cincinnati-based Lightborne for a recently revamped show that just garnered its first gold Addy award (in two separate categories). Lightborne has innovated to create an ever more immersive, pumpkin-packed narrative spectacle to delight guests of all ages.
