Art & Nature Camps at Newfields
This summer, kids ages 6–14 can explore art and nature like never before at Newfields. Choose from Art Camp or Nature Camp. Each camp offers hands-on activities, behind-the-scenes access, and unique opportunities to learn from the Newfields Horticulture and Exhibitions teams.
Registration opens on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at noon.
General Information
Camps are designed for ages 6–14
To maintain a low adult to student ratio, campers will be placed into smaller groups according to their age.
Weeklong sessions are Monday–Friday
Drop-off from 8:30–9 AM
Pick up by 4 PM – PHOTO ID REQUIRED
Lunch and snacks are not included
Campers will need to bring a lunch, water bottle, and two snacks each day.
Nature Camp
Monday, June 22–Friday, June 26 | 9 AM–4 PM
The Studios & Lilly House
$350 Members & $380 public | Ages 6–14
Step into the great outdoors and discover the wonders of nature at Newfields! During this immersive experience, campers will explore The Garden, The Madeline F. Elder Greenhouse, and The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park. Guided by Newfields staff, campers will learn about pollinators, natural resources, gardening techniques, and plant care, while also discovering how art and nature connect.
Art Camp
Monday, July 20–Friday, July 24 | 9 AM–4 PM
The Studios & Lilly House
$350 Members & $380 public | Ages 6–14
Unleash your creativity and explore the world of art at Newfields! Campers will explore the IMA Galleries and encounter artworks from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, and also dive into the captivating art of film. In addition to hands-on projects inspired by their observations, campers will enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at exhibitions guided by Newfields staff.
Waitlist Policy
If your desired camp is sold out, you can join the waitlist by emailing IMASummerCamp@discovernewfields.org with the camp name, camper’s name, and camper’s age. Guests will be added to the waitlist in the order emails are received.
Cancellation Policy
Families will be eligible for a full refund up to May 1, 2026. You are eligible to a partial refund, minus $75, after May 1, 2026. No refunds will be given within 7 days of the start of camp.
