Art on Film: Firestarter: The Story of Bangarra
Presented in conjunction with THE LUME Indianapolis featuring Connection, Firestarter: The Story of Bangarra takes the viewer through The Bangarra Dance Theatre’s beginnings and their spectacular growth. It recognizes their early founders and tells the story of how three young Aboriginal brothers, Stephen, David, and Russell Page turned the newly born dance group into one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies.
Art on Film is a series of thought-provoking documentaries that dive into the world of art through the lens of cinema. This film series is designed to offer unique learning opportunities and, when possible, relate to an art piece or exhibition in the IMA Galleries.
