Inspired By...
Inspired By… is an annual exhibition featuring artwork by K-12 students across the state of Indiana. Each year a masterwork from the Indianapolis Museum of Art collection is selected as the inspiration piece. Teachers may build a lesson and have students create their own work of art inspired by the selected masterwork for submission to this juried show.
The inspiration piece will be on view in the IMA Galleries. Please schedule a field trip if you would like to view the work with your class in person.
2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR:
Inspired By Black Dandelion
The Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields invites kindergarten through 12th grade teachers to share their students’ original works of art inspired by Black Dandelion by Kori Newkirk on display in the Efroymson Family Entrance Pavilion of the IMA at Newfields.
To participate, educators teaching Kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to develop classroom lessons focused on these themes and submit student works of art to Newfields.
