For over 25 years, award-winning floral designer and flower farmer Brenda Lekse has owned RUE de FLEURS. Brenda won the 2025 Excellence in Nature award from Art in Bloom at Newfields. Her accolades include: multiple team and individual wins from International Live Event Association for Professional Achievement in Creative Arts (PACE) One of her career highlights was growing, harvesting, designing and installing all the blooms in the “Witches Kitchen” at Newfields Harvest Nights last year. Brenda is also a Floral instructor, writer and horticultural judge who served as a speaker and instructor at the 2026 Indiana Horticultural and Small Farms Conference hosted by Purdue University.

Mom and daughter duo, Charlotte Woodworth and Kassie Woodworth, have been partnering up to create since 1996 (the year Kassie was born). Kassie is a local artist in Indianapolis working in ceramics, printmaking, and drawing. Charlotte was an independent florist and balloon artist for 15 years before moving onto other business ventures, now retired and revisiting her creative endeavors. They have worked together on various projects in both Kassie's childhood and professional artist life.
