Winterlights

Presented by Bank of America

Winterlights
5–9 PM

It’s merry. It’s bright. It’s Winterlights presented by Bank of America at Newfields.

For the seventh year, music and laughter fill the air in The Garden at Newfields all holiday season. Lights dance beneath your feet and twinkle overhead, reaching to the very tips of 100-year-old trees, enveloping guests below. The more the merrier! New this year, The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, led by Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly, provides the perfect symphonic soundtrack for a dazzling synchronized display in front of Lilly House. Selections include the musical theme of the Holly Jolly Dollies from the AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration, featuring a lively swing arrangement of the Nutcracker. For the eight days of Chanukah, Landscape of Light will dance and dazzle to Songs of Freedom: A Celebration of Chanukah, performed by Essential Voices USA, The EVUSA Ensemble, and Ron Raines, conducted by Judith Clurman, and arranged by Judith Clurman, Larry Hochman, and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

New wandering paths take guests on a journey through the woods on the Twinkling Trail. Dazzling baubles hang from trees and a larger-than-life illuminated ornament doubles as a photo op, in the distance, Color Blossoms light the way on the historic Interurban Railway Line.

Hearts and hands are warmed by crackling firepits at The Culinary Campsite at Garden Terrace where the Girl Scouts will have s’mores for sale. Newfields culinary offerings include melt-in-your-mouth chocolate chip cookies, gingerbread popcorn from Just Pop In!, and cozy drinks including the Winterlights inspired Electric Reindeer brew from Sun King Brewing Co., spiced plum cider from Ash & Elm Cider Co., hot cocoa, and hot cider. Cocoa and cider can be spiked with Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey.
