College Night

Kick off the Fall Semester with an art-filled night at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. Take a break from the books and join us for an after-hours event that's sure to captivate your mind. 

 

At 5:30 Robin Cooper, Manager of Curatorial Affairs, and Jennifer Rigsby, Registrar for Permanent Collection, will discuss Newfields’ repatriation of 18 vigango to the Mijikenda people in coastal Kenya. Learn about these ancestors and Newfields' efforts to have them returned home. 

 

After the presentation, enjoy light refreshments while listening to music mixed by Indy local, DJ Lady Locs. Find your new favorite work of art in the IMA Galleries or take a tour with one of our knowledgeable docents. Before you leave, be sure to sign up for your complimentary student membership with Newfields' Membership Team so you can continue enjoying art and nature all year long.
