Summer Solstice

Soak up the sun on the longest day of the year in The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park. Make your own sun or cloud inspired kite, have your face painted like a sun-loving reptile, stop by the Big Car Wagon of Wonders for a puppet show, and play lawn games on the Hawryluk Sculpture Green. At noon and 1 PM meet under Team Building (Align) for restorative and nidra yoga sessions led by Charlotte Gretter. Pack a picnic for lunch or stop by one of our food trucks for a corndog or a sweet treat. Shuttle service between the Indianapolis Museum of Art and The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park is available at regular intervals throughout the day. Additional parking is available at the park. Portable restrooms are available and leashed dogs are welcome. Please bring your own mat or towel for community yoga at noon and 1 PM.
