Seasons of Japan
Ancient samurai swords. Modern paintings. Classic ramen. Radical fashion. Newfields invites you to take in 700 years of Japanese art and culture during Seasons of Japan. All year, we're creating experiences throughout campus, from spring's fragrant Orchids display, to summer's savory Pop Up: Noodle Shop, to fall's masterworks exhibit, Brush with Beauty: Japanese Paintings in Ink, Color, and Gold. Learn about a legendary tale of warrior vengeance, imaging yourself walking the runway in Issey Miyake's famous "staircase dress", and become part of the art in Yayoi Kusama's pumpkin Infinity Mirror Room. It's the best way to experience what this culturally rich country has to offer - without making the 6,400-mile flight.
