Rakugo

Presented by The Japan-America Society of Indiana

Rakugo
2 p.m.

Join Japan-America Society of Indiana for an afternoon of Japanese Comic Storytelling with Japan's legendary performer and television personalities. Rakugo is stand-up comedy, performed in the traditional Japanese-style . . . sitting down. With a towel and a fan as props, the rakugo master tells fascinating tales relying solely on voice, gestures, and facial expressions. All of the stories, contemporary and traditional, embrace the warmth, humor, and emotion of universal human experience.
