Member Lecture: Kjell Wangensteen

Join Dr. Kjell Wangensteen, Assistant Curator of European Art, for an in-depth talk on the portraits collected by Dr. George H.A. Clowes. The Clowes Collection is among the finest collections of European art in the Midwest, and includes masterpieces such as Rembrandt's early self-portrait (about 1629). Over the next two years, the IMA is undertaking the first major renovation of the Clowes Pavilion since it opened in 1972. 

The preservation, study, presentation, and interpretation of works in the Clowes Collection is supported by The Clowes Fund and The Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation.
